Spend Skill Points Wisely

As you play Blood & Glory: Legend and level up the hero, you’ll earn Skill Points that go towards his Attack, Block and Health stats. That said, try to avoid only increasing one of these attributes. In other words, don’t spend them all on Health, since it’ll take considerably longer to defeat the toughest enemies, as you failed to boost the Attack skill. Instead, try and balance things accordingly.

On that note, you can purchase five extra Skill Points for $0.99 at any time.

Complete Challenges For Bonus Rewards

These in-game achievements let you pick up valuable rewards, so always keep them in mind. These range from using nine Specials in any level to using an attack potion, whereupon which you stand to gain rubies and coins. On that note, you only have a limited amount of time to complete the current list of challenges.

Consider Double Rewards

Winning a fight results in rewards, like experience points (XP) coins and rubies. You can increase these rewards, but it’ll cost $0.99 to do this.

Combat: Anticipating Attacks

The key to winning battles involves anticipating an enemy’s attack and then avoiding it all together. During play, you’ll notice one right and one left arrow on both sides of the screen. Press and hold the left arrow to dodge attacks from the left, and do the same with the right arrow when attacks come from the right. Then, when prompted, furiously slash the screen in a variety of directions to attack the opponent.

Blocking Attacks

During a fight, make note of the shield icon on the bottom of the screen. Pressing and then holding this button lets you block incoming attacks, but there’s a catch. Blocking successfully depletes the shield meter, and you won’t be able to use it once the counter reaches zero, which is the primary reason why it’s important to upgrade the Block skill.

Parrying

By far the most difficult skill to learn, parrying lets you deflect an attack and strike the enemy. To do this, swipe in the opposite direction of the enemy’s attack.

Glorious Strikes

Evade more than 60 percent of an enemy’s attacks (using either Block, Dodge or Parry), and you’ll trigger a Glorious Strike, which results in critical damage on your opponent. You’ll know there’s a chance to activate a Glorious Strike when a directional arrow appears on screen. When that happens, first swipe in that direction, then unleash a barrage of damaging strikes.

Don’t Forget About Special Attacks

Sometimes, you’ll be on the ropes clinging to a sliver of health as some oversized brute threatens to club the hero into mush. This is when you should fall back on a Special Attack as a last ditch effort to turn the tide. As you’ll soon notice, dodging, blocking and attacking fills the Special Attack meter on the lower right. Filling it past certain levels results in one of three Specials, listed below; just press the button to activate.

Special 1: Stun the enemy, plus damage.

Special 2: Stun the enemy, plus 2x damage.

Special 3: Stun the enemy, plus 3x damage.

Amulets Contain Magic Power

Basically, you can equip up to three amulets before heading into battle. There are 10 different kinds, and they all do something different. Keep in mind that although the developers give you one slot for free, the other two amulet slots cost 30 rubies each.

Note: Amulets can be upgraded up to three times, and you’ll unlock the majority of amulets by reaching different levels.

Types of amulets include…

Potion Upgrade: Attack and block potion timer now 10 seconds.

XP Bonus: XP earnings plus 10 percent.

Special Damage: Special attack damage plus 10 percent.

Glorious Strike: Glorious Strike stun of 3.5 seconds.

Bleed: Each successful attack makes the enemy bleed five damage per second.

Equip Potions

Similar to amulets, you can bring up to three potions into a fight, but there are only three to choose from.

Health: Restores health.

Attack: Double damage.

Block: Halves stamina damage.

Keep An Eye Out For The Caravan

Play Blood & Glory: Legend long enough, and the caravan will appear on the world map. Why is this important? Because it’ll give you a free item. A potion, for instance.

Always Seek To Upgrade Equipment

Blood & Glory: Legend comes with a packed Store filled with different weapons, shields and pieces of armor. Enemies only grow more difficult to beat the further you progress. That is, unless you spend coins and rubies to equip the hero with the finest gear. Just look for green and red arrows next to desired items. Green means that particular item is stronger than what’s currently equipped, while red signals that it’s weaker.

What role does luck really play in poker? Certainly it’s not an insignificant one – we’ve all played sessions where we couldn’t manage to win a coinflip. Similarly, it’s possible to play lengthy sessions while making very few strong hands and rarely hitting pairs.

However, cash game players are rarely actually “unlucky” over a statistically significant period of time – especially if they have a big edge on the game they’re playing in. Online, you can find out if you’re one of the unlucky ones by using tracking software like PokerTracker or Hold’em Manager. It’s much more likely that if you’re losing you simply need to work on your game.

Tournament players, on the other hand, are virtually guaranteed to experience tons of variance even over lengthy periods of time. For this reason, bankroll management is of the utmost importance if you want to play tournaments. 1. If you don’t plan to spend money on Blood and Glory – never buy a shield. I’m serious. If you use shield – you don’t enhance your dodging skills, and shield durability is limited. So you can block 4-5 strikes and then you will need to dodge, and if you have little practice in it – you will fail. I used tutorial shield up to X tournament, and made 8 tournaments with ‘invictus’:

So, again, here are the things to focus on, sorted by priority:

• Enhancing dodging skills
• Buying weapons
• Buying armor and helmet
• Buying shield

2. Gladiators never strikes same side more than twice in a row.  For example: if you see gladiator strikes from the left, and then again from the left -  the next strike will always be from the right.

Use this tips wisely and have fun

Focus on buying weapons, not armor. You can enhance your dodging skills, and avoid enemy strikes easily, but if your strikes deal low damage – you give your opponent more chances to kill you. So make sure that you’ll kill him fast. I finished 5 tournaments with “Invictus” with just 350HP, when enemies had up to 2000.

If your HP is low – use Health Potion BEFORE the battle. If you loose – you will start next try with full HP. In case you use potion in battle and loose – your next try will be again with low HP and you will need to use potion again.

As for me – earth strike is much easier to perform and deals more damage. Nice playing!

First, and the most important cheat – never, again – NEVER spend your rubies on armor and weapons. Buy armor and weapons for gold, not rubies. Spend rubies only at healing potions. Learn your enemy. There only few different moves they do. They change weapons, but movements are the same. It’s about 10 different movements – not so hard to learn, yep?

Be faster than your enemy. After learning their movements – react as soon as he starts to move. It’s rather easy, but needs a bit of training.

Dodge instead of using shield. Dodging is easier and gives you opportunity to strike back more often.

Use special attack to interrupt enemy movements. If you see enemy is doing something that you don’t remember how to avoid – just use special attack and interrupt it.

There’s special attack that stuns enemy – use it right after combo, so you will be able to use combo again  – that doubles your damage!

Remember – it’s possible to complete game without buying gold or rubies, just train. For me it took couple of days to complete it.
